About Daniel Diaz del Castillo

Daniel Diaz del Castillo has spent the past 15 years working in architectural visualisation, with a fairly simple philosophy running throughout his career: find an easier way to achieve the same quality with less effort. That constant search for a more efficient workflow naturally led him towards AI. Today, alongside his ArchViz work, he is using vibe coding to experiment with tools for 3ds Max and web applications — despite describing himself quite simply as a “vibe coder with no understanding of how to write code.”

For Daniel, that lack of traditional coding knowledge has actually been an advantage. AI removed what he previously saw as the knowledge barrier between having an idea and attempting to build it. If a workflow is frustrating or an existing tool could work better, he can now try to create his own solution. Had he understood from the beginning how much conventional development work might be involved, he admits he may have decided it was too much for one person. Instead, most of his learning has come through trial and error: build something, discover what doesn't work, and keep iterating.

That doesn't mean AI automatically produces good software. One limitation Daniel has become particularly aware of is UI and UX, which he considers an art form in its own right. AI can generate an application, but creating something that both looks good and feels intuitive to use still requires human judgement. His advice for anyone curious about vibe coding is therefore very simple: start small and lose the fear of trying. You don't need expensive tools or programming experience — start with something as accessible as a free AI chatbot, ask it to write a little code or help build a Google Sheet, and see where it takes you. The important thing is to start discovering what you can make for yourself.
