How to activate scripts locked to SiNi Software. Does not apply to other collaborator content.
All of the MAXScripts and MacroScripts on this website, published by the SiNi team are locked to the SiNi Desipher license manager. This means that you must be logged in to your active SiNi account in 3ds Max. But don't stress if you don't have account, simply sign up and register.
All other products available from contributors on SiNi Lab are not locked to SiNi Software and are managed directly by the contributor.
Commercially, if a product takes a long time to vibe code, then it is locked to the SiNi paid subscription. If the time to develop is shorter, then the product is locked to the SiNi free account.
Why have we done this?
Primarily as a benefit and bonus to the thousands of 3D artists who loyally support SiNi and use the 14+ 3ds Max plugins regularly, using paid or free accounts.
Why create a new website and brand?
The vibe coded products the SiNi team provide on SiNi Lab are seperate to the main SiNi plugins. They are developed experimentally by 3D artists who vibe code, with technical backup and support from the SiNi software engineers, if required. For example, if a vibe-coded script needs to extend beyond the capabilities of MAXScript or Python, with a new C++ function to be developed, or extracted, from the existing plugins, then the dev team assist.
This means the developement team can focus on the core 3ds Max plugins. SiNi's vibe coded experiments, if popular, may be added to existing plugins, enhancing their functionality and features.
Its worth noting here that SiNi has always made many of its plugin features available for script developers to use through SiNiScript. However, the majority of 3ds Max users are artists and don't know how to code with MAXScript or Python. Vibe coding changes that as AI understands SiNiScript functions perfectly. Its worth checking out if you want to encorporate C++ code for complex scripts.
